HEMSMITH is a New York based minimalistic fashion brand committed to timeless, understated clothing for men, women, and now their pets. 

With 30 years of our family manufacturing experience, both in New York and overseas, we’ve developed expert knowledge in fabrics, craftsmanship, and more importantly, a conscious mind. Launched in 2016, Founder, Caryn Hsu, and Designer, Cher Lin, focus on quality by producing small batch season-less collections.

HEMSMITH aims to reconnect with simple moments often overlooked in our hectic lives. We believe that by pausing and rekindling the joy of familiar rituals, we are more present within ourselves and in-tuned with those around us. With this in mind, HEMSMITH offers a meaningful respite in the form of quiet conversation pieces defined by sophisticated comfort and sustainable design.

Simply put, we celebrate the luxury of refined comfort. We look towards the pared-back aesthetic shared between Japanese and Nordic design for inspiration, the sophistication of the former, and the practical value of the later. Joined together by meticulous tailoring and exclusive fabric blends, each garment has its own unique elements as well. Think: hidden side-seam pockets, full-length pleats for added flow, soft velvety texture, and leash portals built into their pet apparel.
